Is This The Ultimate FMX Compound?

Filming for the next HGM movie- Homegrown Maniacs 5: “The Search For The Ultimate Compound” kicked off in a big way at a secret location somewhere in Western Australia.
With a whole bunch of riders flying to West Oz for the Narrogin Rev Heads FMX comp it was the perfect opportunity to gather a high quality crew for some true freeriding instead of the standard 75ft kicker stuff that we see so much of today.
That crew consisted of New Zealands Levi Sherwood fresh from his win at Rev Heads plus Aussies, Rob Adelberg, Josh Sheehan, Steve Sommerfield, Matt Haggerty, Adam Grope, Michael Kennedy, Shane Parsons and Russ Lightfoot.
When we arrived there was a few nervous moments as the course is amazing but looks intimidating. Thankfully the local legends who built the course Brendon and Jake Bocchetti had the place dialled and soon tuned the boys into the best lines.
What followed was one of the all time great FMX shoots in Australia. The video and stills only show the average stuff as the real gold is being saved for a Freerider MX story and of course HGM 5 and the HGMtv series.
Also on hand for the shoot was the best Extreme Action chopper pilot going around- Dave Adamson from Rotorvation Helicopters in Jandacot. Seriously this guy knows his stuff and the action I shot out of the chopper is amazing.
We finished an epic day in the best possible way. A nearby bushfire turned the sky orange for an epic sunset session which peaked right on dark when first Sheehan and then Adelberg flipped one of the dirt hits.

Huge Thanks to all the crew that made this incredible day possible especially locals Brendon, Jake Bocchetti, Mark and Pete with the loader who put huge amounts of time and money into building the compound. Thanks also to WA FMX godfather Shane “Towny” Townsend who helped organise the whole show (A bad ankle injury kept him from being on a bike himself), Dave from Rotorvation Helicopters, all the HGMtv crew, Roaring Lion for the killer energy drinks and finally the riders for believing in us and ripping the bag out of the place.
